Brooklyn-based designer Joseph Piorkowski

Currently, I work at Rockwell Group, an award winning architectural and design firm in NYC. We specialize in hospitality, culture, healthcare, and performing arts projects.

I was previously a PM and Sr. Design Lead, designing physical and digital spaces at ICRAVE, an NYC and Miami based design studio. Projects included F&B, workplace, and airport lounge design.

Before ICRAVE, I designed at WeWork, The We Company, on a special projects team, enterprise team, and classic workplace team. After 3.5 years, I collaborated, envisioned, and designed about 2 million square feet of interiors spanning from Japan to the Middle East and a lot in-between.

And before WeWork, I worked alongside Murray Moss and Franklin Getchell at Moss Bureau, where we consulted, designed, and executed projects revolving around museum retail, curation, interior design, merchandising and serious spectacle.

School: masters degree in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in anthropology from the University of Virginia.

In the far past, I moonlighted as a guitar player in a rock band, was an impeccable food runner at a restaurant, worked retail at a local record store, and was a two-time high school All-American springboard diver.
